Hydraulic safety
The purpose of the course is not that you should go around and be afraid of your hydraulic systems, but on the contrary, you should get an introduction to a mindset and systematic system that enables you to work actively to constantly increase the security of your systems. In addition, you will get acquainted with the regulations that are in place to give you support in the safety work.
We will also address a variety of incidents and accidents as an example and try to analyze causes and propose preventive measures in these cases.
Specifically, the goals are that the participant should understand the risks associated with hydraulics, including
- Health risks associated with work with hydraulic oil
- The risk of oil injection and what serious consequences this type of injury may have
- Risks associated with some typical hydraulic components
You will also get an understanding of the link between good maintenance and safety.
In addition, the participant will be given knowledge of how the Machinery Directive and ISO standards are used to ensure good safety in hydraulics.
Finally, you should have good opportunities to best handle a hydraulic related injury, especially oil injection.
